“Thunder is a fantastic organization that focuses on developmental skills for the younger ones. They have multiple opportunities to improve within the organization with hitting coaches and pitching coaches. There are multiple teams per level but that allows for some girls to get more playing time and progress to other teams within the organization. The facility is available to book for individual practice. This helps during the winter months. The coaches have been amazing. There is a mix of parent and paid coaches. Older coaches support the younger teams. Teams play appropriate levels so there is a good balance of challenge and success. The program allows for multi-sport athletes. Our family can’t say enough good things about this organization. We recommend it to everyone. ”
“Great organization centered around family. Promotes multisport athletes. Good access to private 1:1 coaches for individual lessons. ”
“Thunder is a good place to start for younger athletes. It has an indoor facility which is nice. Some negatives-they are becoming a money grab and build too many teams at ages. Some are no better than a park district team. Also their premier level teams are not premier. They can’t compare with other local high level programs. If you want a place to start, Thunder is good. If your athlete wants to work towards college recruiting this is not a location for her.”
