“Just like park district this is coached by parents so fun, rec, and coaching depends on parent skill, knowledge, and involvement. Generally great communication, kind to kids, making it fun and keep skills sharp! Indoor rec league is great for keeping active and not a “rusty” start to season spring/fall ball.”
“The baseball was slightly more competitive over rec ball. Price was good. Good season format with an all star break and end of season tournament. Unfortunately head coach screaming at kids mistakes, singling them out, swearing at them, all while teaching them nothing more than they already knew. ”
“We have a great experience with Wheatland Spikes and Wheatland Athletic Association (for rec. ball, before we moved to travel ball). Everyone is very helpful and will take the time to answer any questions you may have. The Spikes organization is run very well and I have deep respect for everyone involved (it takes a lot to run a travel organization). I have always felt they care about our girls and their development. They have a great indoor facility and continue development throughout Winter. Our daughter is very happy here. This is our first year of travel with a new team, coming from rec. ball. We absolutely see the growth in our daughter and are thankful for all the time the organization puts into our girls. Of course, not every coach is going to be your cup of tea, but that can be anywhere you go.”
