“My son played in the program for 2 years. I agree with the previous posts, if you are on the 1's team you get it all coaching, practice times, etc. Everyone else is really just there. They have young coaches, which are not bad, but there is not resources to help them as far as game play. Most know how to play the game, not all know how to coach it. Before signing ask questions, who is the coach or where do they see your player at. My son was on the 2's team. Either year, the coaching wasn't there to help the players and it showed. Facilities are nice, but practices are scrambled. I saw my son shooting basketball or than drills for volleyball. There was more scrimmage then true drills in my opinion. I only stayed for 5 practices and those were not beneficial from what I saw. Three of the practices were before a big tournament.”
“My so played 2 seasons with 630. He was on the 2's team. If you make the 1's you get great coaching and a powerhouse behind you. When you make the 2 or below it feels you are not good enough. This program is huge and grew overnight. I believe the organization has great intentions, but due to the growth quality coaches are not always there. When you join you are not sure of which team you will go on. Thats a challenge as top teams get it all. Ask questions as to where they see your child. ”
“Coaching quality is hit or miss if not on a 1’s team. Organization as a whole struggles to keep players year after year due to coaching issues. Commitment process: Committing to club without knowing who your child will be playing for or even whether they will be on a national or regional team is asinine. Tournament information, communication, payment/billing side have no issues. ”
