“My daughter joined the cheer program here after having several friends in the program, and we quickly realized it wasn’t for us. Despite always being on time, 100% attendance, bending over backwards with time and money to meet all of the requirements- my kid was yelled at, singled out and was made to feel embarrassed during the leaning process of the routines. One coach was particularly nasty. I understand the cheer/dance environment and that coaches need to be tough to maintain order in the practices, but this went beyond that and turned personal. I’m sure this varies by coach. I’d recommend attending as many practices as you can (many are closed) so your presence is known.”
