👎“CLGFS has a part-time travel team - the Comets. In our experience, having the travel players participate in recreational softball has taken away opportunities for development of rec-only players. It may certainly depend on the coach, but in our experience, travel players rarely sit, typically play key positions, and often bat at the top of the batting order. Meanwhile, many of the rec-only players are lucky to bat more than once and often spend the game in positions that do not afford them the opportunity to field any balls. For 10U, it’s become a bit too competitive.”
