“From the very first time we met Coach Bryan, (Next Level Wrestling- Countryside, Illinois), I knew this program was different. He took the time to explain his expectations, how he runs practices, and what he expects from both the athletes and their parents. He’s extremely punctual, responds quickly to text messages, communicates well, and always keeps everyone informed. What impressed me most is that Coach Bryan doesn’t just teach wrestling—he studies each child. He takes the time to understand how they think, what motivates them, where they struggle, and how they learn best. He quickly figured out how my 8-year-old son learns and tailored his coaching to fit him. That kind of personal attention is rare. I was equally impressed by Coach Bryan’s knowledge, experience, and background. After learning more about his career and reading the book he wrote, it became obvious that he brings a tremendous amount of expertise and passion to every practice. My son has attended several wrestling programs throughout the Chicagoland area. Many were overcrowded, leaving little opportunity for individual instruction. He didn’t enjoy those experiences and would often become overwhelmed. At Next Level Wrestling, it’s the complete opposite. Coach Bryan keeps the classes manageable so every child receives quality instruction and personal attention. My son genuinely looks forward to every practice. The results speak for themselves. My son trains wrestling just once a week, yet it has noticeably increased his confidence and significantly improved his Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Watching him confidently hit double-leg and single-leg takedowns during BJJ training has been incredible. He’s more aggressive, more confident, and no longer afraid to wrestle. Coach Bryan has a special way of connecting with kids. He’s patient, encouraging, and knows exactly when to push them while keeping the atmosphere positive. I also love that he plays music during practice—it keeps the kids motivated, focused, and having fun. Wrestling is one of the toughest sports there is, and Coach Bryan has found a way to make hard work enjoyable. As a Deputy Chief of Police, I oversee training, instruction, organization, and professional development. Because of that background, I naturally pay close attention to how instructors teach, communicate, and lead. I don’t hand out compliments lightly. Coach Bryan runs an outstanding program. He is organized, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in the success of every child who walks through his doors. If you’re looking for a coach who develops not only better wrestlers but stronger, more confident young athletes, I can’t recommend Coach Bryan and Next Level Wrestling highly enough. In my opinion, it’s one of the best youth wrestling programs in the Chicagoland area, and we’re grateful to be a part of it. ”
