“I stopped by a Tuesday night practice to check it out. Really impressive setup. Practice is on the new turf fields at Naperville North (super nice facility now, used to be a grass practice field but they redid the whole area last year with turf, a fence, bleachers, goal posts, etc.) under the lights, play looked competitive (I'm not an expert), clearly well-coached, and the parents in the bleachers were enthusiastic in a way that felt more like a cult following than a casual community league. Claiming Lacrosse was simply better than any other sport for their kids, and this was THE place to start for kids in the area. Talked to a few families and everyone had great things to say about the program and the coaching staff. One parent mentioned pricing but that seems to be a universal complaint across all kids activities right now, not specific to Orange Crush, which is less expensive than a travel team (but, full transparency, the entry point for lacrosse is higher than Park District Soccer). Orange Crush's connection to the travel lacrosse pipeline (East Ave Lacrosse) in the area is a nice feature...kids get a competitive environment without the full travel commitment, but with institutional awareness of the development pipeline. Also had a chance to chat with Kevin (who owns/runs the org) and Miles (one of the head coaches and the varsity lacrosse coach at Neuqua), both clearly passionate about what they're building here. Only saw one practice so take this with a grain of salt, but first impression was very positive. Worth looking into for any Naperville family looking to get into lacrosse.”
“Lacrosse is booming and Orange Crush is Crushing it!!! We’ve been at other clubs but the coaches, practice facility and leadership of the club is second to none!!! Would encourage you get your kids involved early and often, great sport for girls and boys”
“We have been doing orange crush camps and seasons for a couple years now. My child is U8, actually in kindergarden but has a September birthday. The coaches pay great attention to Brax. Year 2 was hard for him as he was playing with more aggressive kids he wasn’t used to, therefore he didn’t want to do lax anymore. I brought it to coach miles attention at an all day camp and he gave him some TLC, loves the sport now. Not a bad thing to say about OC. ”
