“While I wish softball had more opportunities to use the Ruino facility rather than the Joliet facility, the training and coaches are amazing. They focus on development and creating all around athletes, including the mental game. We are very happy with our decision to join the Rhino organization and plan to stay for many seasons. ”

“My daughter just wrapped up her 13U travel ball season for this organization and i can honestly say out of the 5 yrs shes playing travel ball this has been her most fun. The coaches were phenomenal, she built a bond with Coach Rex more than i ever could imagine, the girls really looked up to Coach Rex she was like a big sister to them! Asst coach Brandon did a phenomenal job behind the scenes keeping everything organized and the parents well informed on game updates and everything in general he really cares for each of these girls and their development. 2 different practice facilities as options 1 has an indoor field the other one is used more as a batting practice & drill facility. This was out first season with Rhino and we were very happy after playing with multiple organizations in the past. ”

“My kids have been with the Rhinos for two seasons. They love everything about it. I love that after 12U it’s a paid female head coach. Even the owner is stepping down as HC of his daughter’s team that is moving to 13U. 24 hour access to the facility is a major bonus. ”

“As a parent, I’m honestly really disappointed with our experience. The Rhino facility looks great when you’re being recruited, but softball players hardly get to use it. Baseball gets priority, and there are way too many teams fighting for the same space. Most of the time, softball ends up practicing in an older building in Joliet that isn’t what families were shown or promised. The whole organization feels very cliquish. There are a handful of dads in the dugout who seem to have a lot of influence over decisions, and it’s hard not to feel like favoritism plays a role. Communication is frustrating too, schedules often come out at the last minute, making it tough for families to plan anything. The costs are another issue. There always seem to be extra fees popping up throughout the season, but there’s very little transparency about where the money is going. We never see invoices or a clear breakdown, which doesn’t sit well when you’re already paying a lot to be part of the program. The biggest disappointment is the bait and switch with the facility and private instruction. Families are sold on access to a top notch indoor facility and professional coaching, but most practices are run by moms and dads. There may be instructors around once in a while, but it’s nowhere near the level of instruction that was advertised. If you’re thinking about joining, make sure you ask a lot of questions and talk to current families. The experience has not matched the promises.”
