“Great emphasis on arm care and overall health of players. We have never seen an organization as strict as Canes with pitching. They truly value a kid’s arm over a plastic ring. That said, they aim to still be competitive. They have great communication, including when uncontrollable circumstances come up that create a plot twist for the season. Impressed with how they handled it, keeping the kids the main focus. I also appreciated that they were clear with making cuts (like I mentioned they aim to still be competitive). I’ve seen organizations string players along until after tryout season just to cut them with no chance to try out for a new team. Or even worse create multiple teams just to fund the “top team”. ”
“This is an organization that genuinely cares and wants to build the best possible experience for the players. The owners know the players by name at all levels. They provide the resources (eg, professional trainers for all teams, use of the facilities, nutrition, QuestFit profile, mental/emotional IQ training, Canes regional/national opportunities, etc) to help make your player successful. They also support Canes Cares community service. No hidden costs/fundraising.”
“Canes is intentionally a smaller organization, which allows Tom and Mike to truly get know all of the boys in the program. They care a lot about respectful behavior and promoting a healthy culture. My son loves the Canes coaches and is motivated to work harder under their instruction. One great thing is that facility use is included in your fees, and it isn't hard to get a tunnel for practice. ”
“Awesome organization. Coaches are amazing and they really teach kids to play the right way. Heavy emphasis on health and development not just win at all cost. ”
