“No desire to develop players, want ready made. Host tryouts super early to cherry pick. No team bonding or fun. Click heavy. ”
“Fields and facilities are great. Coaching is positive and encouraging. You don't hear coaches screaming at children like some other organizations, it's just not in the culture. The huge drawback is that if you are not part of the large network of Huntley sports families who all hang out together and have multiple kids playing multiple sports together, your daughter will need to be twice as good to make the team, and near perfect to get any real playing time in the position she wants to play. It's like daddy ball, but so much worse because Huntley ball extends to so many kids. Not a bad place to have your daughter learn softball, but her opportunities there will most likely be very limited if your family isn't part of the in crowd. ”
“An overall mess. I agree with the previous review… it doesn’t matter if you have the most talented team player, If the parents don’t spend their weekends drinking with coaches or presidents, you’re out. It’s actually really sad. ”
“They skip talent for popularity contests and what your last name is. It’s discouraging for those who deserve a chance. It’s Huntley so you should expect this. ”
